What we found

We have an area in our front yard where we can never grow grass. Over the past 4 years we have tried just about everything, with no sucess. On Saturday we decided that we would dig up the front yard and see if we could get some better dirt in there. We were in for a big surpise though.
This is what we found.
That's right, an 18x24", 4 inch thick slab of concrete about 2 inches below the surface. I guess that is why the grass would not grow! Jeremy is outside re-sodding the yard right now. We also found a t-shirt, an orange plastic net, ketchup packets, a McDonald's cup and a few chunks of metal. I am wondering now if we should dig up the entire yard and go on a treasure hunt!

oh my goodness! I know when Mom and Dad moved into their new home they would find all sorts of things too! I guess the men that build the houses do a quick job or something. You should be able to have some grass growing there soon! Best of luck!

Like Darlene said--we had the same problem--we're still finding all kinds of things underneath our grass.
