Some fun Outings

We have had a couple of fun outings in the past few days.  On Saturday I took Kirsten on a Mommy-Daughter Date.  I let her choose the location and activities, so of course she chose the American Girl Store.  We had such a great time there, like always.
We started off at the salon.  Emily got her face, arms and legs cleaned and polished, her hair fixed and her ears pierced.
After she was all dolled up we had lunch at the American Girl Bistro.
We always have such a great time there.  The best part is spending time with my little angel.  Kirsten insists that Emily is real and that we have 3 little girls in our family.
Monday was a day off of school, and it was pouring rain, so we had to find something to do.  We headed with the Lendermans over to Legoland.  We had a great time.  It was a little smaller than I thought it would be, but it was fun.  There are two rides, and Katie could even go on the first one with us.  They spent time playing in the huge play structure, and building and racing race cars.  We loved the 4-D theatre and building buildings and then subjecting them to earthquakes to see if they will stand up.
I really enjoyed the miniland, a lego replica of many landmarks in the DFW area.  My favorite was the Lego replica of the Cowboys' Stadium.
We spent the bulk of our 5 hours in the Duplo toddler area - go figure.  Kirsten, Michael, and Rachel spent about an hour building a giant fort out of oversized, soft duplo blocks.
By the time it was finished, it was over their heads.  They did not want to break it and could not get out.  So Cathleen and I threw more blocks in to them and helped them make stairs to climb out.

In the Princess Palace, they could play with the pink legos and sing Karaoke. Kirsten and Michael sang and danced to Party in the USA.
Katie and Rachel had to get in on the action too.  Here they are jamming to The Itsy Bitsy Spider.
The kids were all so exhausted that they all four fell asleep in the car on the way home!  We are looking forward to going back and taking daddy with us next time.

That looks like so much fun! They have a lot of different things for children these days--of course they all cost money too. I am glad you are having fun with your children. That is very important.
Love, MOM
