Star Performances

Each year, every grade level at Kirsten's school does a musical performance.  This year the 3rd graders did a patriotic show.  Among other things, they memorized the pre-amble to the constitution, all 50 states in alphabetical order and sang You're a Grand Old Flag.  We were pretty impressed to say the least.
We took time after to pose for pictures.  Grandma and Grandpa Lowe made it to cheer her on,
 as did Grandma Alleman
Once again, Katie was dying to get up on stage with her sister and loved watching her perform.

The next week, Kirsten was Star Student for her class at school.  Naturally, she got to go on stage and dance! She is on the left in the green shirt.
 My Shining star!
Her best friend, Azalea, was also Star Student from her class the same week!
Before Thanksgiving, Katie did a performance with her preschool.  She was beyond thrilled to have her turn on stage!
My beautiful little Pilgrim sang and danced her heart out!
Of course Grandma Alleman came up for Katie too.  We stayed after and enjoyed a great Thanksgiving Feast at her school.
I also wanted to include this beautiful picture of Katie's first school class.
I love my girls and they are the shining stars of our lives!

Zoo with Grandma

We had absolutely beautiful weather at the beginning of November.  We took advantage and headed to the Dallas Zoo.  This time we were able to not only have daddy join us, but Grandma came too!

Halloween Celebrations

We started out this year's Halloween celebrations with our ward fall festival and trunk or treat.  We took Kyra and Zoe with us since their mom just had a baby.
Katie and Zoe were thrilled to be together, yet again!
Kirsten and Kyra were both dressed up as Hermoine.  They had a ton of fun walking around together!

Kirsten, Katie and Jeremy carved the pumpkin together.  I just have to say that my family is ridiculously beautiful.
Katie's preschool celebrated with the Arktoberfest

Katie and her best friend at school, Kenzie - AKA - Super girl.
They even had the fire department come and let the kids see the fire truck.
Finally the actual day of Halloween arrived!  We even dressed Gingy up as Buzz Lightyear.  He was such a good sport about the whole thing.
We met up with the Christensens to begin our trick or treating excursion.

Our first stop was Grandma and Grandpa Lowe's house.
The kiddos lasted about an hour and then they were begging to go home and go to bed!

October in pictures

We loved having a quiet conference weekend.  we made our traditional homemade caramel corn and printed activity packets for the girls.  We spent the majority of the weekend camped out right here.
We also took time out to visit the Plano Heritage and Farmstead Museum.

We have also been spending a ton of time having Zoe over to play with Katie.  They get along so well and Katie gets mad if we go a week without having her over.
Katie is getting so big and loves getting new clothes!
Kirsten's class had their annual performance for Good Morning Ogle.
They sang a song to the tune of "I gotta feelin' that tonight's gonna be a good night" but changed the words to "I've gotta feelin' that this book's gonna be a good book...."  It was really cut and fun!
Katie loved watching her sister and wanted to get up on the stage with her.
Grandma even came up to see Kirsten perform!
We have also been taking advantage of the beautiful, warm fall and spending tons of time outside in the back yard.
